"Be Bold. Drink Pink."
Bold Rock Hard Cider launched their “Be Bold. Drink Pink.” initiative, donating proceeds from Rosé cider sales to breast cancer research. To support this effort, a video was needed that could live directly at the point of purchase on digital retail screens alongside the product. This format was unusual, and it created a unique opportunity: design a story-driven piece that would connect emotionally with viewers while standing out in the busy environment of grocery stores nationwide.
We filmed on location at Bold Rock’s Mills River, NC cidery, capturing authentic interviews with a breast cancer survivor family and Bold Rock representatives, including the head cider maker. The production was completed in just a few hours while the cidery remained open, ensuring minimal disruption while still delivering cinematic visuals.
By blending heartfelt storytelling with product imagery, lifestyle b-roll, and a clear call to action, we created a video crafted specifically for the in-store retail experience. Both a 90-second and a 30-second version were delivered, ensuring flexibility while keeping the message concise, powerful, and visually striking.
This approach allowed Bold Rock’s message of community and care to reach shoppers at the very moment they were making a purchase decision.
